Your Most Complex Plant Design Workflows. Finally Solved.

Piping Labs partners with engineering teams to untangle the workflows that have been slowing you down for years: file chaos, catalog debt, broken isometrics, data that never syncs. We bring deep Plant 3D expertise and AI-augmented tooling to every engagement. And we price on outcomes, not hours.

You’re in the right place if…

Your team is living in workarounds: manual exports, file-based handoffs, or spreadsheets standing in for real workflows. You know there’s a better way. You just haven’t had the bandwidth to build it.

You’re scaling a project across multiple teams or regions and your current process breaks down the moment you add people or complexity.

You’ve got a budget-approved problem, not a curiosity. You’re ready to invest in fixing it properly, and you need a partner who can own the outcome with you.

The problems we solve aren’t small ones.

We work on the engagements that other consultants walk away from. These are the ones that require genuine Plant 3D mastery, creative process design, and the ability to build custom tools when off-the-shelf falls short.

Scale without chaos

Teams working globally on the same design, with one source of truth. No more version conflicts, no more chasing the latest file.

Catalog work that used to take weeks, done in minutes

Advanced expressions, automated part properties, and imported port data. Your catalog becomes an asset instead of a liability.

Data integrity you can trust

Corrupted parts found before they reach fabrication. Isometrics that generate cleanly. Designs that carry their intelligence all the way downstream.

Workflows your whole team can actually follow

Not just a better process on paper. One that’s been validated, tooled, and handed off so it keeps working after we’re gone.

Our approach

Every engagement starts with requirements, not assumptions. We spend time understanding exactly where the workflow breaks and what a solved state actually looks like for your team. From there, we design the solution (and build any tooling needed to support it), then implement and hand off with documentation your team can own.

We use AI-augmented workflows where they genuinely accelerate the outcome. That means faster iteration, smarter pattern detection, and tooling that would have taken months to build five years ago.

We don’t quote hourly rates. We define the outcome with you, agree on its value to your business, and price from there.

Work we’re proud of

From file chaos to global scale

A client receiving specialist deliverables as text files (multiple versions, no clear change history) needed a way to manage design changes across a growing global team.

We built a two-stage workflow: one for comparing versions and tracking changes over time, another for implementing approved changes directly into the Plant 3D design. Teams across regions could now work in parallel and adopt changes as projects evolved.

Result: A project that couldn’t scale now could, without adding coordination overhead.

Catalog build time: 40 hours → 20 minutes

A client needed to build and maintain complex Plant 3D catalogs with advanced expressions and imported port properties. The work was taking their team roughly 40 hours per catalog build.

We built a purpose-built catalog editor that supports expression logic, property generation, and bulk application to parts.

Result: What took a full work week now takes 20 minutes. The team redirected that time to engineering work that actually moves projects forward.

Finding the broken parts before they break the project

A client was consistently running into isometric generation failures. Parts in their model had lost intelligence, but there was no way to find them until the problem surfaced downstream.

We built a diagnostic tool that visually identifies corrupt parts in the model and generates a structured list for designers to work through and resolve.

Result: Issues caught at the design stage instead of fabrication. Fewer surprises, faster isometric delivery.

How we price

We don’t sell hours. We agree on what a solved problem is worth to your business, and we price from there.

That means you know your investment upfront. It means we’re incentivized to solve the problem efficiently, not to bill more time. And it means the conversation we have at the start of an engagement is about your business outcomes, not our rate card.

If you’re looking for an hourly consultant, we’re probably not the right fit. If you have a real problem with a real cost attached to it and you want it solved, let’s talk.

Bring us your hardest problem.

We work with a small number of clients at a time so we can give each engagement the attention it deserves. If you have a workflow challenge that’s been on the backlog too long, or a project that’s about to scale and you know the current process won’t hold, reach out.
